WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior guard Eddie Miller didn't disappoint the over 40 fans he had in attendance Tuesday night in Winston-Salem, N.C. Miller scored a game-high 25 points in a 74-64 Fresno State victory over Winston-Salem State.
Miller, from Pocomoke, Md., had friends and family pack a bus and travel six hours to watch him play against Winston-Salem State at the LJVM Coliseum. Miller scored 25 points on 8 of 12 shooting from the floor and 7 of 10 shooting from long range.
"It was a great night and I'm glad we played good and won in front of my friends and family," Miller said. "It's always good to come back home to the east coast."
After the game, Miller's group filled the hallways outside the locker room, waiting for Miller to exit. He was greeted with hugs and smiles.
Miller's 25 points helped spark the Bulldogs and helped them earn their first road victory of the season. Fresno State improved to 4-3 overall and end its six-day road trip with a 1-1 record.
