Stephens and Wilson Tally Season Highs

LOS ANGELES, Calif.- - The Fresno State women's basketball team got season highs from Tierre Wilson and LaShaunte Wilson in points but the Bulldogs still lost a tough 81-75 game to Loyola Marymount on Wednesday.
Wilson scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds while Stephens had 20 points and eight rebounds. Emma Andrews added 10 while Hayley Munro had a game-high nine rebounds. The Bulldogs shot 41 percent from the field and out rebounded LMU 41-40. It is the first time this season Fresno State has out rebounded an opponent.
The Bulldogs led 74-68 with 4:36 to play in the game following a Jaleesa Ross 3-pointer. The Lions then outscored the Dogs 13-1 in the final minutes to earn the win.
Fresno State led the entire first half and held a 35-26. The Bulldogs led 29-19 with five minutes left in the half following a jumper by Rachel Majewski. The lead was extended to 31-19 after a free throw by Stephens and LaToya Brown. Wilson later hit one free throw with five second remaining in the period to give Fresno State the 35-26 advantage at the break.
