FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's golf team is in tenth place out of 18 teams (299-296 - 595) at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational. BYU (563) still holds the lead followed by Indiana (570) and Idaho (573) for second and third place.
Jennifer Shipley (71-70 - 141) had two strong rounds to tie for seventh place to lead the `Dogs with 3-under par.
"Jennifer is putting together a really good tournament," said Head Coach Angie Cates. "She is putting in a lot of birdies this week and tomorrow will be good for her."
Laura Luethke (76-73 - 149) improved her score after shooting a 73 on the day to tie for 36th. Tiffany Veerkamp (76-77 -153) is tied for 62nd place followed by Brittany Cooley (78-76 - 154). Taylor Siebert shot a total of 155 to tie for 74th.
"Tomorrow we need to eliminate the bad holes and out together a round that will put us around even par as a team," Cates said.
