Bulldogs in Seventh at Anteater Invitational after Round Two

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team (322-319 -641) is in seventh place out of 15 teams after day one at the Anteater Invitational in Irvine, Calif. The host UC Irvine (597/+29) has a comfortable 26-stroke lead against San Jose State (623/+55) at the par-71 Dove Canyon Country Club. UC Davis (624) follows a stroke behind in third followed by Mississippi (628) and Nevada (633).
Laura Luethke (75-77 - 152) is leading for the `Dogs with a top ten finish after two rounds. Luethke is tied for seventh after two rounds at +10. Jennifer Shipley (80-81 - 161) follows tied for 28th. Tiffany Veerkamp (84-81 - 165) and Pia Escandon (85-80 -165) are tied at 44th place. Brittany Cooley (83-89 - 172) is tied for 66th.
UC Irvine junior Selaneé Henderson leads the tournament with a one-under 141 (69-72), the only golfer to post a score under par, including a tournament low 69 on the first round. She leads San Jose State's Sirapa Kasemsamran (71-77-148) by seven shots heading in to the final round.
The final round will conclude Tuesday.
