Las Cruces, N.M. - Fresno NBC affiliate KSEE 24 has announced that they will broadcast the Fresno State women's basketball semifinal in the WAC Tournament against Boise State on Friday, March 9. Coverage for that game will begin at 11:00 a.m. in Fresno, the first of two women's games on the road to the NCAA Tournament.
"Continuing our strong commitment to local programming, we jumped at the opportunity to bring Bulldog basketball to the Valley," said Todd M. McWilliams, KSEE General Station Manager. "We are very excited to be able to broadcast this high profile event."
"With the Bulldogs in the WAC Tournament semifinals, we wanted the Red Wave across Central California to have the opportunity to watch Adrian Wiggins and the entire team perform on Friday," added Associate Athletic Director Paul Ladwig. "We certainly welcome this partnership with KSEE."
Fresno State previously won their first round game against Hawai'i in impressive fashion, routing the Rainbow Wahine 72-47 to advance to the semifinals against No. 1 seed Boise State. The Bulldogs split two games with Boise State this season, winning their home matchup 69-61 on Feb. 17.
Randy Rosenbloom is scheduled to take the play-by-play duties of what will be the first live broadcast of a Fresno State event on the station since 1996. The game can also be heard live on 1430 ESPN Radio, with George Takata handling the call. Fans outside of the Central Valley can watch all of the games of the WAC Tournament on www.wac.tv, and can additionally receive exclusive behind-the-scenes video and information with the Bulldogs throughout their time in Las Cruces with All-Access on www.gobulldogs.com.
