No. 16 Bulldogs Shut Out Cal Poly, 7-0

FRESNO, Calif. - In a total team effort, the 16th-ranked Bulldogs won their seventh straight, breezing past Cal Poly 7-0 on Saturday afternoon at the Wathen Tennis Center. The `Dogs won the doubles point for the 13th consecutive match and won all six in singles for the convincing victory.
In doubles, 49th-ranked freshmen Renata Kucerkova and Anastasia Petukhova won in impressive fashion, downing Cal Poly's Brady and Bradford 8-1. On court No. 3, junior Jacqueline Haskett and sophomore Bruna Paes beat Filip and Malec 8-4 to clinch the point.
In singles, the `Dogs were solid on all six courts, winning each match in straight sets. Kucerkova led the way, beating Steffi Wong 6-0, 6-3. Petukhova followed with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Shannon Brady.
Sophomore Melanie Gloria clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-1 defeat of Brittany Blalock, while Paes followed with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Melissa Bradford.
To complete the match, Haskett defeated Maria Malec 6-0, 6-3 and Danon Beatty downed Diane Filip 6-3, 6-4.
The `Dogs are back in action tonight at 5 p.m. in the final match of the regular season against Pacific.
