`Dogs in Sixth After Round Two at WAC Championship

"Laura is only four strokes back," said head coach Angie Cates. "She is very much in the tournament and has a chance to win it."
Idaho (602) moved from the sixth position to take the lead with an impressive round of 293 to take a four-stroke lead over Nevada (606). Hawaii (611) fell to third followed by San Jose State (613) and Boise State (621). New Mexico State (626) is three- strokes behind Fresno State in seventh.
Jennifer Shipley improved in the second round with a 76 to move her in the top 20. Shipley is tied for 18th with scores of 80-76- 156. Taylor Siebert (75-84 - 159) is tied for 29th a stroke ahead of Brittany Cooley (80-80 - 160) who is in 31st place. Tiffany Veerkamp (83-81 - 164) is in 34th place after round two.
"We are going to have to have a record day tomorrow to win," Cates said, "We did a lot of damage today. We are just going to go out, play confident golf, have fun and add them up at the end."
