FRESNO, Calif - Fresno State volleyball has announced that five high school seniors have accepted the institution's offer of admission. The five will join the squad this fall. These newcomers will join Lauren Berger, Sarah Oskam and Kasey Van Grouw who signed letters of intent with Fresno State in November.
Newcomer Sukhjit Athwal is a 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Milpitas, Calif. Kelly Mason is a 5-foot-8 libero from Temecula, Calif. Meghan Moss is a 5-foot-7 libero from Sherman Oaks, Calif. Sarah Oglesby is a 5-foot-9 libero from Monrovia, Calif. and Letter of Intent signee Tairyn Rasmussen is a 5-foot-10 outside hitter from Escondido, Calif.
"We are excited about the quality and depth of our 2007 recruiting class," said Head Coach Ruben Nieves. "These players have the skill and athleticism we need in order to take off as a program. They will complement the abilities of our veterans very well."
"The combination of returnees and newcomers makes for a promising 2007 Fresno State volleyball season."
