Students and Young Alumni Grabbing Tickets

FRESNO, Calif. - As Pat Hill is putting his troops through their final paces in preparation for Fresno State's season opening game Saturday against Sacramento State, so too is Russell Hayden.
Hayden, Fresno State's veteran director of ticket operations, has his staff primed for this week's game. Heading into Saturday, the Bulldog ticket office has been fielding a lot of requests from Fresno State students and recently graduated alumni taking advantage of a first-year program to get a good deal on season tickets.
"We've had a strong week of sales," said Hayden, whose staff sold nearly 3,000 tickets in three hours for the Sacramento State during an on-campus sales promotion last Friday. "The Young Alumni Season Ticket Package has been very popular."
The Bulldog Ticket Office sold the original 250 seats to Young Alumni, former Fresno State students who graduated in the last four years. Due to its popularity, the Young Alumni Package will be extended and offered in a new section. The season ticket packages sell for $99 and are still available for a limited time at the Bulldog Ticket Office or can be order online by clicking the tickets icon at the top of the page.
Hayden also noted strong sales among Fresno State students, who returned to campus on Monday. Fresno State allows 4,000 student tickets for each game, most of which are sold on a season ticket basis. The student section generally sells out prior to gameday, so students are urged to get their tickets early. Fresno State Student season tickets are only $60, and each student is eligible to purchase one guest ticket for only $90.
"We are always happy when the students come back to campus," said Hayden. "Our sales have been strong so far this week for student tickets and I would expect them to be sold out by Friday."
Students with valid Fresno State ID cards can purchase ticket online at gobulldogs.com, at the University Student Union, M-Th 9am-7pm, Friday 9-5pm, at the Bulldog Ticket Office, M-F 9am-6pm and at the Kennel Bookstore by visiting the Athletics Marketing table. The student section in Bulldog Stadium is general admission seating.
Fresno State students can also join the Red Zone by purchasing season tickets. Red Zone members receive a Free Red Zone T-Shirt and have access to preferred seating within the student sections. Representatives from the Red Zone will be stationed near the Athletics Marketing table at the Kennel Bookstore.
