Siebert Led the `Dogs at Ptarmigan Ram Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team (306-312-306 - 924/+60) finished tied for 11th at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. The Bulldogs moved up on the leader board today from 13th place to tie with Wyoming.
The `Dogs were led by junior Taylor Siebert marking her second top-ten finish at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic where she had previously placed fifth in 2005. Siebert (73-75-72 - 220/+4) shot an even 72 in the third round today to tie for seventh place with Idaho's Amanda Jacobs.
"Taylor always plays good when we come to Colorado," said head coach Angie Cates. "She had another solid performance this week, she has been hitting the ball great. She's been working really hard this summer on re-gaining her focus and desire."
Laura Luethke tied for 37th place followed by sophomore Hali Coppin (79-81-75 - 235) who tied for 61st place. Pia Escandon (80-83-79 - 242) tied for 85th place and Whitney Yano finished tied for 102nd place with 87-86-82 - 255.
California (868) finished in first place with an impressive 19-stroke lead over second place Washington State (887). BYU and Colorado tied for third place with 891.
Shannon Yocum of California clinched the title with 214 finishing 2-under par.

The Bulldogs will return back to action Sept. 17-18 for the Salbasgeon Suites Invitaional at the Trysting Tree Country Club in Corvallis, Ore.
