McKee Puts Up Big Numbers Against Nevada

FRESNO, Calif. - In a battle of the 2-2 teams in the Western Athletic Conference, the Nevada Wolf Pack prevailed over Fresno State at the Save Mart Center Thursday (Sept. 27). The game scores were 20-30, 23-30 and 28-30.
Senior Alisha McKee continued to lead the Bulldogs as she has done all season, with 19 kills and a .317 hitting percentage, both her second highest totals of 2007. McKee had a season-high 20 kills in last week's thrilling win over Boise State.
Lacey Gera also tallied double-digit kills for the Bulldogs (10) and her sister Lisa led with 18 digs.
Freshman Kelly Weymouth added a career-high eight digs and had one service ace.
"I came in relaxed and felt like the coaches were confident in me and I came in and stepped up," said Weymouth.
Fresno State had a season-high seven service aces for a three-game match, compared to just four of the Wolf Pack.
Nevada was led by Teal Ericson with 15 kills and Karly Sipherd who hit .429 for the match.
The Wolf Pack outhit Fresno State .221 to .075 and had 11 total blocks to just six for the Bulldogs.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 2-3 in the WAC and 4-11 overall. Nevada improves to 3-2 in the WAC and 6-6 overall.
