Homecoming Festivities Set for Friday and Saturday

FRESNO, Calif. - With less than two days remaining until Saturday's homecoming game against Idaho there are plenty festivities set for Bulldog fans Friday night and Saturday leading up to the 7 p.m. kickoff.
Tickets are still on sale and fans can log onto gobulldogs.com or call the ticket office at 278-3647 to purchase tickets for Saturday's game. If fans purchase a ticket to the football game they will also be able to get into Saturday afternoons volleyball match against Nevada at the Save Mart Center and Sunday's soccer match against last year' WAC champion Hawai'i for free. The volleyball and soccer match begin at 2 p.m.
On Friday, in Bulldog Boulevard there will be a pep rally to get the fans excited for the homecoming game. Fans can win prizes and enjoy the fun of inflatable games. Fresno State athletic teams will be on hand and fans will hear from Bear Pascoe, Tom Brandstater and coach Pat Hill.
The canned food drive has been going on all week and on Saturday fans can make monetary donations or donate perishable food items. There will be several barrels located outside the four main entrances of Bulldog Stadium as well as in the gray lot, purple lot and near the Save Mart Center lots.
Volunteers in bright green shirts will be located at each stadium entrance and in various locations in the parking lots to help fans turn in their donation. A collection bin will also be made available inside the northwest entrance of the Save Mart Center on Saturday for the 2 p.m. Fresno State volleyball match.
Prior to the start of Saturday's game, Smash Mouth will perform a free concert at Bulldog Boulevard at 5:15 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The Fresno State football team plays it annual Homecoming game on Saturday, October 11 as they host Idaho at 7 p.m. Fresno State Athletics along with Fresno State Department of Management, Community Food Bank and Sierra Pacific Orthopedic and Spine Center have teamed up for the second annual food drive. Fans are asked to bring non-perishable food items to the game. Collection barrels will be located in parking lots and outside each stadium entrance.
