Covarrubias Leads Bulldogs at Kent Youel

FRESNO, Calif. -The Fresno State women¹s golf team completed the third round at the Kent Youel Invitational at the Kapolei Country Club in Hawaii. The Bulldogs (304-301-305-910/+46) were led by junior Lindi Covarrubias to take a 10th place team finish. Covarrubias (72-74-76-222) tied for 17th with six-over par.
Louisa Lies (74-74-81-229) tied for 38th place and Hali Coppin (78-75-77-230) tied for 43rd. Chelsea Czinski (82-78-73-233) tied for 50th shooting 17-over. Taylor Siebert carded a three round total of 241 finishing in 72nd place of 80 players.
San Francisco (+3) finished in first with a total of 867. Both UC-Irvine and San Jose State tied for second place shooting totals of 878. Fourth place finisher, Oregon, finished the tournament with a total of 879.
UC Irvine's Jane Chin, shot a tournament record 203 (-13). Team champion San Francisco, was eight shots off the tournament record (859 by UCLA in 2004).
The Bulldogs will have some time off before returning to action in the spring when they will kick off the season with the annual Fresno State Lexus Invitational on Feb. 23-24.
