`Dogs Tied for Ninth in Kent Youel Invite

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno State women's golf team shot consistent rounds of 304 and 301 to tie for ninth at the 10th annual Kent Youel Invitational Tuesday at the Kapolei Golf Course.
San Francisco leads the 15-team field after firing rounds of 285 and 286 for a five-under par total and 11 stroke lead over second place New Mexico. UC Irvine's Jan Chin leads individually at 10-under with rounds of 68 and 66.
For the Bulldogs, junior Lindi Covarrubias is tied for ninth after rounds of 72 and 74. Freshman Louisa Lies is playing well after posting first and second round scores of 74. Junior Hali Coppin improved three strokes after a 78 in the morning round and in the afternoon she shot a 75 to finish at nine over par and tied for 38th place. Sophomore Chelsea Czinski is currently tied for 70th place. She shot rounds of 82 and 78 to finish the day at 16-over par. Senior Taylor Siebert carded rounds of 80 and 82 to stand tied for 76th of 80 individuals.
"Lindi was really relaxed and is playing very well," Angie Cates-Moore said. "She is in great shape for this tourney and I am very pleased with her effort.
Louisa is also playing great. For it being their first time here they are competing at a high level.
As a team we can play more consistent."
The final round begins at 10:30 a.m. PT with a shotgun start.
