`Dogs Host Nevada

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State soccer plays its final conference game against Nevada on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium. The `Dogs look to extend their two-game winning streak heading into the Western Athletic Conference Tournament, which will be held from Nov. 6-9 in Reno, Nev.
"Sunday's game will be an emotional day for us," said head coach Steve Springthorpe. "Senior day is always a wonderful day of recognizing the players that have helped build and sustain this program. It is a great opportunity to recognize them for all their hard work."
The `Dogs celebrate senior day at their last home game of the season and the Bulldogs recognize seniors Selena Gill, Nicole Gutierrez, and Ali Sill.
The last time the Bulldogs and the Wolf Pack met was on Nov. 8 in the first round of the WAC Tournament. The Bulldogs came away with the win, 1-0, and advanced to the semi-final game.
The `Dogs also beat Nevada in regular season, 3-1. Fresno State leads the overall series record, 8-1-1. The Bulldogs have a two-game winning streak against the Wolf Pack leading into this weekend.
"We look forward to playing against Nevada, I am sure it will be a hard fought game between two teams trying to position themselves for the upcoming conference tournament," said Springthorpe.
The Wolf Pack is 2-3-1 in conference play and 2-12-3 overall. Nevada is in a three-way tie with Boise State and Hawaii for third place in the WAC. The Wolf Pack leads conference play in shots taken with 84.
The Bulldogs are 4-1-1 in the WAC and 8-8-2 overall and in second place in the WAC standings. There is an autograph session following the conclusion of the game.
