Henry Grabs a Career Best 15 Rebounds

Logan, UT - The Fresno State women's basketball team lost at Utah State 44-40 on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 16-10 overall and 11-2 in WAC play. Fresno State is now in a first place tie with Boise State with three games to play.
"We just have to give Utah State credit," Fresno State coach Adrian Wiggins said. "They came out and played good hard defense and they got to many offensive rebounds and loose balls and we didn't. We just played poorly tonight."
Erica Henry led Fresno State with 10 points and a career high 15 rebounds while Jaleesa Ross and Tierre Wilson each had nine points. The Bulldogs out rebounded Utah State 43-34. Fresno State shot 26.9 percent from the field while Utah State shot 32.7 percent.
Fresno State led 40-37 with 4:27 remaining in the game after baskets by Henry and Hayley Munro. Utah State held the Dogs scoreless for remainder of the game as Taylor Richards hit a 3-pointer with 2:31 left to tie the game at 40.
The Aggies took the lead at 42-40 with 1:46 left in the game. The Bulldogs had a chance to tie or take the lead but turned the ball over with 14 seconds to play in the game. Utah State then sealed the win with a layup with six seconds left.
The two teams were tied at 22-22 at halftime. Fresno State came out and scored the first six points of the second half to take a 28-22 lead with 17:27 left in the game. The lead stayed at six at 33-27 with 14:27 remaining before USU came back and tied the game at 33 with 12:08 left.
Utah State took a 37-33 lead before the Bulldogs came back and took the 40-37 lead.
Fresno State returns to the floor on Saturday, March 1 for a 6 p.m. tipoff at New Mexico State. The game can be heard live on 790 ESPN Radio, the Deuce.
