San Joaquin Track Champion Signs with Bulldogs

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's track and field team has added another Valley athlete to the 2009 roster. Decorated sprinter and hurdler, Latrisha Jordan signed a National Letter of Intent to compete for the Bulldogs.
Jordan, a recent graduate of Central Valley High School in Ceres, Calif., ranked among the state'Is top competitors in sprints and hurdles this season. At the San Joaquin Division II Section Finals in May, Jordan championed the 300-meter hurdles, took silver in the 100 hurdles, and placed third in the 400. She went on to take fifth at the CIF State meet in the 300 hurdles.
Jordan's personal bests, after just two years of track and field experience, include times of 14.97 seconds in the 100 hurdles and 42.40 in the 300 hurdles. In the sprints, Jordan has been just as impressive, timing in at 12.4 in the 100, 26.00 in the 200, and 57.19 in the 400. Jordan was named the MVP for the Central Valley Track and Field Team and the Senior Athlete of the Year for the Class of 2008.
