FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Women's Golf team faced wet and windy conditions today to fire a 310 after completing one rounds to earn the team a seat in 12th place heading into tomorrow's final round at the 2009 Heather Farr/CU Memorial in Boulder, Colo.
The Bulldogs were one of the many teams that did not complete the second round as weather forced most teams to come off the course with anywhere between 1-4 holes left. The second round will be completed tomorrow morning prior to commencing the third and final round of play.
Hali Coppin (T33) is the team's leader after the first two rounds as she ended the day with a round of 75 and a partial round of 6-over thru 16 holes. Louisa Lies ended the day in a tie for 37th place by shooting a 78 in the first round. Lies got thru 16 holes with a score of 4-over par. Lindi Covarrubias shot an 11-over par 77 in the first round and has three holes to complete in the morning. Shaylee Yano fired an 80 in the first round and will also complete the second round in the morning as she heads into play with a 9-over par thru 16. Pia Escandon finished the day at 36-over par thru 34-holes.
Fresno State's final round will begin once today's suspended round is completed.
