FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs are on a break from a tough fall semester schedule and as they head into the hiatus, they held their No. 10 national ranking in the Women's Intercollegiate Equestrian Coaches' poll that was announced Tuesday.
For the third time this year, there has been no change at the top of the poll. The Auburn Tigers remained the nation's No. 1 team in the poll and the top three teams held their positions.
Auburn continues to lead Georgia and Texas A&M in poll as there were only a couple position changes in the top 10. South Carolina moved past Oklahoma State for fourth place, with five more points than the Cowgirls.
Baylor remained No. 6 in the poll this week while TCU leap-frogged Kansas State for the seventh spot.
New Mexico State and Fresno State held their positions at No. 9 and 10, respectively.
The collegiate coaches competing under the Varsity Equestrian Championship umbrella initiated the national poll.
The poll will be released bi-monthly with the next announcement scheduled for December 1, 2009, which will be the final poll of the fall semester.
