- Sophomore Paul George recorded his third double-double of the season and ninth of his 46-game Bulldog career. George's three double-doubles are tied with freshman Greg Smith for the most on the team. This marks his third career game with at least 28 points, as he has scored a career-high 29 points on two separate occasions (Feb. 9, 2009 vs. Boise State and Dec. 8, 2009 at Pepperdine).
- George, who ranks in the top 10 nationally in steals per game, forced a game-high three steals to improve his average to 2.9 steals per game over a third of the way through the season.
- The Bulldogs continued their low post production with a 14-10 edge against Montana in the paint.
- Fresno State's three road losses have come by an average of less than four points.
- As a team, Fresno State converted 12 of 13 free throw attempts (92.3%), their best conversion rate from the charity stripe this season.
- Tonight's game was the Fresno State's first in the state of Montana since 1983.
