Meet the Bulldogs Sunday, Feb. 15 at Riverpark

FRESNO, Calif. - Bulldog fans will have the opportunity to meet the 2009 Fresno State softball team on Sunday, Feb. 15 from 1-3 p.m. at the Riverpark Promenade. Head coach Margie Wright and all 19 student-athletes will be signing autographs with TimeOut and the spirit squad in attendance.
The Bulldog Shop will be selling some of the latest Fresno State gear to get you ready for the spring season. The first 250 fans will receive a special autograph card. Fans are also encouraged to bring cameras to take pictures with their favorite Bulldogs.
"We are excited to be out at Riverpark at Sunday," said senior Haley Perkins. "We are off to a good start and it's going to be an exciting season. We hope to see all of you out there this weekend."
The No. 14/15 Bulldogs are 3-1 after picking up wins over Wisconsin, Liberty and Cal State Northridge on opening weekend.
There are two seniors on the 2009 team, cousins Haley and Mallory Perkins from Fresno. The team also boasts two juniors, outfielders Lisamarie Coronado and Brooke Phipps.
The sophomore class returns seven student-athletes, including First Team Easton All-American pitcher Morgan Melloh, First Team All-West Region shortstop Haley Gilleland, catcher Caitlin Stiglich, infielder Nicole Angene, infield/outfielder Andrea Ortega and pitchers Ryane Petersen and Ashley Cox.
Wright also welcomes eight freshmen to the 2009 team. The class includes three outfielders, Angelica Adam, Jody Badorine and Kaylan Pollard; infielders Alexis Lujan and Brittnee Rodgers; catcher Kaitlin Griffin and pitchers Michelle Moses and Mackenzie Oakes.
The Bulldogs travel to Stockton, Calif., to take on the Tigers of Pacific at Saturday, Feb. 14 in a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.

"Join the State - Fresno State!" - The `Dogs travel north to Stockton to battle Pacific on Saturday, February 14. The doubleheader starts at noon. The `Dogs' home opener is Thursday, February 26 against Utah Valley. First pitch at Bulldog Diamond is scheduled for 6:00 pm. Season tickets, mini plans and single game tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting the Bulldog Ticket Office, calling 278-DOGS or online at gobulldogs.com.
