Fresno State WAC Tournament Championship Notes
- Fresno State is in the WAC Tournament championship game for the second straight year. Last year the Bulldogs defeated New Mexico State 72-56 in Las Cruces. In 2003 the Bulldogs lost 89-57 to Louisiana Tech in the tournament championship game.
- In Friday's win over Utah State the Bulldogs set a new WAC single season record for 3-pointers made. Fresno State has hit 299-for-853 3-pointers, breaking the previous conference record of 290 set by Colorado State in 1998-99.
- Fresno State is one win away from tying the school record for most wins in a season. The 2005-06 team finished the year 24-8.
- The 23-8 record is the second best record in school history. Only the 2005-06 team had a better mark. They were 24-7 after 31 games.
- Adrian Wiggins is 94-43 in three plus seasons as the head coach.
- Fresno State is 21-3 when tying or out rebounding an opponent.
- Bailey Amundsen tied a WAC single game record with six 3-pointers in the opening round win over Hawai'i.
- Fresno State has hit 10 3-pointers or more in 31 games dating back to last year. The Bulldogs are 25-6 during that stretch.
- In last year's WAC tournament the Bulldogs tied a WAC tournament record for 3-pointers made with 27. The record is shared with TCU who set the mark back in 2001. In this year's tournament Fresno State has hit 21-of-63 from beyond the arc.
- The tournament record for most 3-pointers attempted is 67 set by the Bulldogs last year and New Mexico State in 2006.
- Bailey Amundsen and Jaleesa Ross need six 3-pointers to tie the individual tournament record for 3-pointers made. They each have eight and the record is 14, set by Kari Gallup from BYU in 1998.
- Fresno State's 853 attempts from beyond the three-point line is a school and WAC record.
- Jaleesa Ross needs one 3-pointer to set the single season school 3-point record. She currently has 89, tying her mark last year as she finished with 89 as a freshman and Lindsay Logan's 89 in 2000-01.
- Fresno State is 26-8 overall against Nevada.
- The Bulldogs have won six of the last seven meetings against Nevada. Nevada's last win over Fresno State was Jan. 25, 2007 when they beat the Bulldogs 68-61 in Fresno.
- Fresno State has held conference opponents to a league-best 55.8 points a game.
- Bailey Amundsen's 72 3-pointers this year ranks her third on the single season Top 10 list for 3-Pointers made.
- Jaleesa Ross needs 11 3-pointers to move into third place on the school career Top 10 list for 3-pointers made. She currently has 178 in her two years as a Bulldog. Bailey Amundsen is tied for sixth with Tierre Wilson with 123 3-pointers in her two years as a Bulldog.
- Fresno State has given up fewer than 60 points in 18 games this year.
- LaShay Fears had a career high 18 points in the semifinal win over Utah State.
- Hayley Munro tied her career-high of 13 rebounds against Hawai'i in the opening round game.
- Fresno State is 20-1 when leading at halftime.
- Fresno State has led the nation in 3-pointers made all season. They are currently averaging 9.6 a game.
