`Dogs Finish up in Arizona

FRESNO, Calif.-- The Fresno State women's golf team completed three rounds of play today to take home a 13th place finish out of a 19-team field at the Mountain View Collegiate hosted by Colorado.
San Jose State topped the field shooting 2-over par 866 as a team. UNLV finished in second place with rounds of 291, 287, and 297 to shot 11-over par 875. Lastly, Louisville took home a third place finish compiling a team total of 879 (+11).
The Bulldogs shot a 44-over par 908, for their three-round total on Sunday, with consistent rounds of 303, 303 and 302, respectively.
Individually, Taylor Siebert (73-73-78-224) and Chelsea Czinski (75-74-75--224) tied for 27th place. They both shot a total of 8-over par 244. Chelsea Czinski led the tournament with 42 pars.
"Chelsea had one of the best tournaments of her college career," said head coach Angie Cates-Moore. "I was very proud of her consistency this week, overall she had a very solid performance."
Hali Coppin finished the day tied for 50th shooting a 13-over 229 on Sunday. Lindi Covarrubias compiled a three round total of 232 to take home a tie for 66th. Finishing in a tie for 84th, was junior Pia Escandon, carding a 21-over par 237 in 54 holes.
San Jose State's Erica Mosten took home medalist honors by finishing 7-under par on the tournament and carding a three round total of 209. Cindy LaCrosse of Louisville finished in second shooting 5-under par 211. Indiana had two individuals tie for third, Laura Nochta and Anita Gahir both shot 3-under par 213, to round out the top individuals. Kansas State's Abbi Sunner's thir round score of 67 was a tournament low and the new low for a single round in tournament history.
The `Dogs take the course again to travel back to the Grand Canyon State to compete in the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic starting on April 6.
