Bulldogs Earn Academic All-WAC Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - The Western Athletic Conference announced its winter sports honorees for the 2008-09 Academic All-WAC teams. Student-athletes from men's basketball, women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track and field, women's swimming and diving and gymnastics were represented on the teams.
A total of 307 winter student-athletes were named to this list and to be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed one academic year, have at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the teams contests.
The Bulldogs had 21 student-athletes represented on the Academic All-WAC teams. The women's indoor track and field team had 10 students-athletes represented while swimming and diving had eight. The men's and women's basketball teams combined to have three student-athletes earn academic honors.
On the men's basketball side, Ned Golubovic became the first men's basketball player to ever earn Academic All-District 8 honors this year.

"Join the State - Fresno State"- The Fresno State women's lacrosse team plays host to Denver Monday, April 13, at Noon. The first 200 fans that get into the game will get a voucher for a free hot dog.
