FRESNO, Calif. - The "Fresno State Night Rally" is back for the third year and the Bulldogs are ready to celebrate at this Friday's (Aug. 21) event during the weekly Movies in the Park, hosted by the City of Fresno.
"We are pleased to continue our affiliation and relationship with the City of Fresno Parks and Recreation for this event downtown," Associate Athletics Director for Broadcasting and External Relations Paul Ladwig said. "Anytime we can help foster community relations and enhance an evening like this one, with our student-athletes and spirit squad members, it is a win for all involved."
The fun starts at 6 p.m. in Eaton Plaza on Fresno and N Streets near the water tower in downtown Fresno.
"The City of Fresno Parks and Recreation is proud to partner with Fresno State for the third year in offering a "Fresno State Night Rally" for its athletes and the community," City of Fresno Events Manager William Broomfield said.
As students start returning to campus, this is one of your first opportunities to meet some of your favorite and newest Bulldogs, spirit squad members, TimeOut and the Bulldog Beat pep band.
"In support of our Bulldogs we are encouraging students, faculty and the entire community to come out support our student-athletes," Broomfield added. "Together, let's get this upcoming fall sports season off to a great start. Go Bulldogs!"
The Mobile Fitness Vehicle, bounce houses and food vendors will also be available.
The night will conclude with the movie The Longshots, which will start at dusk.
