- With its 80-70 victory over San Jose State, Fresno State improved to 3-0 in Western Athletic Conference play for the first time since the 2003-04 season. The Bulldogs are 10-7 on the season and will meet Louisiana Tech (16-2, 4-0 WAC), the only other undefeated team in conference action, on Thursday night. The game can be viewed on ESPN Regional (ERT) at 6 p.m. Pacific.
- Sophomore Paul George tied a career-high with 29 points, the third time he has scored 29 points in a game as a Bulldog. George also grabbed seven rebounds and forced three steals.
- Sophomore Steven Shepp dished out a career-high 10 assists, the first time a Bulldog has registered 10 assists since former Bulldog and current Washington Wizard Dominic McGuire had 10 at Georgia in the 2007 NIT contest. Shepp leads the conference in WAC games with an average of 5.7 assists per game.
- Sophomore Mychal Ladd tied a career-high with 3-pointers.
- This was the second time this season two Bulldogs made five 3-pointers apiece. The other time came in Fresno State's 80-72 victory at Pepperdine when George had six and Ladd had five.
- George, Shepp and Ladd rank 1-2-3 in assist-to-turnover ratio in the WAC through the first three conference games.
- Both teams hit a season-high in 3-pointers made and combined for 23 triples (13 by Fresno State and 10 by San Jose State). This also marked the first time the Bulldogs hit at least 12 3-pointers since last year's contest on the road at SJSU.
- Fresno State held an opponent to zero points off turnovers in the first half.
- The Bulldogs are now 6-0 when committing fewer turnovers than their opponent. On the night, Fresno State had a season-low five turnovers.
- Fresno State is 8-2 at home and own a six-game winning streak in the Save Mart Center.
