Fresno State Tangles with Longhorns

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 64 Fresno State faced off against 33rd-ranked Texas in Tempe, Ariz., on Saturday, with the Longhorns picking up a 7-0 victory.
The Bulldogs doubles tandem of Laura Pola and Renata Kucerkova pushed their match to a tiebreaker against the Longhorns' Krista Damico and Amanda Craddock, with the Texas duo picking up an 8-7 (8-6) victory.
Kucerkova nearly went to a third set in her singles match against 17th-ranked Ariel Ellis. After dropping the first set 6-3, Kucerkova went to a tiebreaker in the second set, with Ellis coming away with a 7-6 (7-4) victory to win the match.
The Bulldogs will next take a road trip to the Beehive State to take on No. 71 Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Friday and No. 68 BYU in Provo, Utah, on Saturday.
