Lies Named Golf World Magazine Player of the Week

FRESNO, Calif. - - Sophomore Louisa Lies won her first college tournament a week ago and was do dominant that she was named the national player of the week.
Golf World Magazine selected Lies as the women's player of the week after she shot even par over three rounds to win the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Honolulu. It was her first career victory.
Lies opened the tournament with a 6-under par round of 66, making six birdies and having just 24 putts. She won the event by five strokes, the only player in the field of 93 players to shoot even par.
In addition, Lies was selected the gobulldogs.com student-athlete of the week for her performance.
The Bulldogs are off until Monday when they compete in the UC Irvine Anteater Invitational.
