Bulldogs Face Oregon in Four-Game Series

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State baseball team hosts the University of Oregon Ducks for a four-game series March 5-7 at Beiden Field.
Friday night's game is the 11th meeting between Fresno State and Oregon. The series is tied 5-5 and the last time the teams met was in 2009, where the Ducks won the series, 2-1, in Eugene, Ore.
About the Ducks
Oregon is off to a 5-5 start in 2010. As a team the Ducks are hitting .259 with 12 doubles, three home runs and 42 RBIs. Danny Pulfer leads the team with a .447 batting average. He has three doubles and nine RBIs. The pitching staff has a combined ERA of 2.89 with 70 strikeouts in 84 innings pitched. Alex Keudell has a 1.98 ERA with a 2-0 record and team high 15 strikeouts. Defensively, the Ducks have turned six double plays.
Bulldogs Against Pac-10
The `Dogs have faced every team in the Pacific -10 conference and have recorded an overall record of 169-282 over the years. The `Dogs have winning records against two-time National Champions Oregon State (23-8). The `Dogs also have winning records against Washington State (17-9) and Washington (9-8).
Mid Week Wrap Up
The Bulldogs game on March 3 against CSU Bakersfield was postponed due to inclement weather. The game has been rescheduled for March 17 at 6:05 p.m. in Beiden Field.

As a team, Fresno State has hit 12 home runs in seven games, which is the second most in the WAC behind New Mexico State, who has hit 16. Jordan Ribera is leading the way with six home runs. Trent Garrison added two home runs, while Kenny Wise, Danny Muno, Bobby Coyle and Dusty Robinson have all hit one.
Bulldogs Double Trouble
The Fresno State infield is a well oiled defensive unit and has proved it in its first two series. The `Dogs turned 10 double plays in seven games. The 2010 infield consists of senior Isacc Vivas and juniors Jordan Ribera, Danny Muno and Garrett Weber.
