FRESNO, Calif. - All good things must end so the saying goes.
That was the case for the Bulldog equestrian season at Waco, Texas as the Dogs were upset by No. 12 seed TCU 6-2 in the consolation bracket of English and were eliminated from the event.
The Bulldogs have been ranked in the Top 10 in the nation all season long.
The Dogs opened the tournament with a win over WAC rival New Mexico State and then lost to No. 1 seed Georgia on Thursday, the opening day of the tournament.
Only two Bulldogs won matches for the Dogs, freshman Lauren Carr, who won all three of her matches at the national championships and Holly Elsbernd, who picked up a win in fences.
Fresno State's outstanding senior Lisa Wells lost in the individual bracket. Wells was the No. 7 seed and lost to No. 2 seed Carly Anthony of Georgia. She's the only rider to beat Anthony this season.
The Bulldogs have concluded their season.
