Fresno State won this event in 2005 with a tournament scoring record of 44-under par. Bulldog Mark Modglin (66-64-72--202) won the individual title that year and the Dogs took the top three spots. Sophomore Bhavik Patel has a scoring average of 71.21, which would rank as the third best for a season in Bulldog history if he doesn't play another round. With at least two tournaments left in the season and a probable appearance in the NCAA hampionships, Patel can continue to climb the charts. PGA Tour star Nick Watney owned the top three Bulldog season scoring averages heading into this season.
