FRESNO, Calif. - After a solid season in which the Bulldogs posted six Top 5 tournament finishes, the Fresno State men's golf team is headed back to the 2010 NCAA tournament. The Bulldogs will be the No. 10 seed at the Bremerton (Wash.) Regional played May 20-22 at the Gold Mountain Golf Club (par 72, 7,104 yards).
No. 1 seed Washington is the host school. The course hosted the 2008 NCAA Western Regional and the 2006 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
The Dogs will compete against 12 other schools at the site, including four that won conference championship tournaments to earn an NCAA automatic berth.

Patel's Pace
Sophomore Bhavik Patel has a scoring average of 71.43, which leads the WAC and would rank as the third best for a season in Bulldog history if he doesn't play another round this season. With the WAC Championships left and a probable appearance in the NCAA Championships, Patel can continue to climb the charts. Patel is in pretty good company as PGA Tour star Nick Watney owned the top three Bulldog season scoring averages heading into this season.
Watney WAC Coach of the Year
For the ninth time in his Hall of Fame career, Fresno State's Mike Watney was selected the Conference Coach of the Year. Watney was honored by the WAC coaches in 1996, 2000, 2003 and 2010.
