75 Bulldogs Earn Academic All-WAC Honors

FRESNO, Calif. - The 2009-10 academic all-WAC baseball, softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's outdoor track and field teams have been announced in addition to the academic all-WAC freshmen/transfer teams for all sports.
A total of 292 spring student-athletes were named to the list, while 351 freshmen and transfers were added for a total of 643 student-athletes. Fresno State placed 75 student-athletes on the academic all-WAC honor roll.
The Bulldog women's outdoor track and field team placed nine student-athletes on the team while the baseball team had eight named to the academic squad.
For the 2009-10 academic year, Fresno State had 142 student-athletes earn academic All-WAC honors.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. The following is a list of the spring sport honorees:
