In the first meeting with the Big East Conference's Seton Hall, Fresno State defeated the Pirates 3-1 for Lauren Netherby-Sewell's 25th win with the Bulldogs.
Fresno State is now 3-3 on the season and improved to 2-0 at neutral site contests.
Sophomore outside hitter Marissa Brand recorded a career-high 19 kills on a .259 hitting percentage and added 20.0 points.
Freshman setter Erin Stock dished out a career-high 47 assists and tied with senior Kelly Mason for a team-high 15 digs.
Junior Brianna Clarke delievered a .438 hitting percentage with 8 kills on 16 attacks with only one error. Clarke, a member of the 2010 Preseason All-WAC team, leads the Bulldogs with a .345 hitting percentage on the season.
Fresno State continued their revamped defense surge with 10.0 team blocks. The `Dogs are averaging now 2.87 blocks per set as a team and led the Western Athletic Conference the past two weeks.
The match was played at Haas Pavilion at the University of California.
