Bulldogs Head To UW Husky Invitational

FRESNO, Calif. -
After coming home from a huge season opener tournament half way across the world in Tanagura, Japan, the Bulldogs are now preparing to travel to Seattle, Washington to compete in the UW Husky Invitational. The Topy Cup was an exciting way to start off the 2010-11 season and the `Dogs finished in seventh place out of the 10 teams who were invited to participate. The team has been practicing hard since they returned to Fresno last week and they are ready to travel to Washington this weekend. The other schools competing in this tournament are Washington, Washington State, Oregon (Final four in NCAA Championship), Oregon State, Texas A&M (2009 WAC Champion), Missouri, Idaho, Gonzaga, San Diego State (Sweet 16 in NCAA Championship), Pepperdine, BYU, Pacific and UC Davis.

Patel's Pace
After the first tournament Bhavik Patel has a scoring average of 69.33. Patel finished up the 2009-10 season with a scoring average of 71.58 which ranks him fourth in Fresno State's top five single season scoring averages. Patel is in pretty good company as PGA Tour star Nick Watney owned the top three Bulldog season scoring averages.
