FRESNO, Calif. - All-session tickets for the 2010 Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament, which returns to the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas Nov. 22-24, are on sale now for $45 through The Bulldog Ticket Office or online at www.gobulldogs.com.
The resurgence of the Fresno State volleyball program garnered notice with the selection of the Bulldogs to finish third in the conference during the WAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, which marks the highest predicted finish in the poll since 2004.
The Bulldogs are also fresh off an appearance in the 2009 WAC Tournament Semifinals.
"We're gaining momentum and respect within the conference. I like this," head coach Lauren Netherby-Sewell said of her program. "Many of teams like Boise State have similar momentum and will be tough to compete with. Nevada and Utah State have an experienced team coming back. But I suppose our fast-track rebuilding has earned notice and I'm humbled. We look forward to working with high-expectations. We thrive off of that."
Fresno State begins their run to Las Vegas with home matches against Idaho on Thursday night and Boise State on Saturday night. Both contests start at 7 p.m.
Bulldog fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets from the Bulldog Ticket Office or ww.gobulldogs.com to avoid service fees associated with ticket sales through the Orleans Arena site.
All tickets are for general admission seating.
Single-session tickets will not be available for purchase until Nov. 22 and can only be purchased through the Orleans Arena. A single-session ticket allows access to one day's worth of matches
