Bulldogs Improve At the Rose City Collegiate Tournament

FRESNO, Calif. - The second day of the Rose City Collegiate Tournament was a great day for the `Dogs. The team finished up their second away tournament in sixth place out of the 15 teams competing. The Bulldogs' final score was 914 which was only 25 points off from the championship team, North Texas University.

"I am very happy that the team finished well," said head coach Angie Cates-Moore.
Senior Chelsea Czinski lead the `Dogs in this tournament and finished in 13th place. After three rounds of golf she concluded with a score of 224 which was only nine points away from the number one player of the tournament.
"Chelsea had a great tournament," Cates-Moore commented on the senior's performance. "This could be one of her best tournaments she has ever played."
Freshman Christine Uhalde was back on the green today after having to pull out yesterday when she became too ill to play. Junior Louisa Lies played hard for the `Dogs and finished the tournament tied for 20th place with a score of 229. Sophomore Shaylee Yano and Hillary Billingsley also improved their scores during their third round of golf.
The Bulldogs ended the tournament with 25 birdies total and are coming home on a very happy note.
"We are a young team," said Cates-Moore. "And I know there will be a lot of ups and downs this season. Today was definitely an up day."
