FRESNO, Calif. - After two rounds of competition, the Fresno State women's golf team remains in 13th place at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Boulder City, Nev. The Bulldogs (297-306--603) shot an 18-over, 306.
The 'Dogs are once again lead by Shaylee Yano, a junior from Reedley, Calif., who posted a 2-over, 74 to sit in a tie for 21st at 1-over (71-74--145).
Freshman Madchen Ly is tied for 44th at 5-over (72-77--149) and senior Louisa Lies (78-76--154) moved into a tie for 67th at 10-over. Sophomores Krysta Clark (76-79--155, +11) and Hillary Billingsley (84-80--164, +20) are tied for 71st and 86th, respectively.
No. 21 UC Davis remains in the team lead at 9-under, followed by UC Irvine and Pepperdine in a tie for second at 2-under. Grace Na of Pepperdine still holds the individual lead at 9-under with Kayla Mortellaro only one shot back at 8-under.
The Bulldogs return to action Wednesday for the final round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown with tee times set for 8:30 a.m. PST.
