`Dogs Wrap Up Wolf Pack Classic

FRESNO, Calif. - Along the south shore of Lake Tahoe, the Fresno State men's golf team finished the Wolf Pack Classic in 11th place. The `Dogs (308-298-304--910, +46) shot a final round 304 at the 7,445-yard, par-72 Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
Bhavik Patel (77-72-74--223, +7), a senior from Bakersfield, Calif., shot a 2-over, 74 to place in a tie for 15th, the best finish for the `Dogs.Sophomore Nate Jessup (78-73-76--227) led the field in Par 5 scoring at 6-under and finished the tournament tied for 31st at 11-over. Rufie Fessler (76-74-78--228, +12) was right behind at 12-over to end in a tie for 35th.
Keenan Nelson (74-76-82--232, +16), participating as an individual, placed in a tie for 56th while Jack Mulroy (77-79-81--237, +21) and Brian Sunker (81-81-76--238, +22) finished in 70th and 72nd, respectively.
San Jose State captured it's third team title of the young season by carding a 17-over, five shots better than tournament host Nevada. Jay Myers of SJSU won the individual title with a 1-under and Nevada's Brian Knoll and Jordan Weir of Sacramento State came in second at 1-over.
"We Are Your Team!" - The Bulldogs return to action Oct. 17-18 at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif.
