`Dogs Defeat CSUB, 88-59

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's basketball team extended its undefeated streak to five games over CSU Bakersfield on Thursday night. The Bulldogs beat the Roadrunners 88-59 improving to 8-3 on the season.
Sophomore Bree Farley scored a career-high 16 points, which led the team. She also added four steals and three assists. Junior Rosie Moult also had 16 points and made 4-of-9 3-pointers.
In the `Dogs eighth win of the season, sophomore Ki-Ki Moore recorded her third career double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Freshman Madison Parrish was the fourth Bulldog to score in double figures contributing 13 points.
Fresno State began the game with an 8-2 run over the Roadrunners, where the `Dogs first two possessions resulted in 3-pointers. Parrish sank back-to-back 3-pointers to increase the Bulldogs lead to a 20-point margin with 4:13 left in the first half.
The Bulldogs outscored the `Runners 53-28 in the first half. Fresno State is averaging 10 three's a game this season and in the first half the `Dogs drained 11 treys. Four of the 11 three-pointers came from Moult, who led the team with 16 first half points. Parrish also scored in double figures in the first half adding 13 points.
The second half opened with the Bulldogs going on a 12-2 run. Fresno State limited the `Runners to 10 points in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Farley scored 12 points in the second half. She made 4-of-7 shots from the field, which included two three's.
Fresno State hosts Pacific on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. in the its last home game of 2011.
