FRESNO, Calif. - Beginning with the 2011-12 academic year, Fresno State Athletics and The Bulldog Foundation (BDF) will implement a new priority seating and parking program for football and men's basketball.
The new program will require an annual per seat donation in order to purchase season tickets in the best seating locations in Bulldog Stadium and the Save Mart Center.
The new priority seating program allows all season ticket holders in priority areas the first right of refusal for their season tickets and parking.
The change in the system will allow the BDF and Fresno State athletics department to operate a more sustainable seating program that will generate revenue for scholarships. Since 2001, tuition and fees at Fresno State have risen 177%. This change will help Fresno State Athletics strengthen its financial position as it transitions to the Mountain West Conference in 2012.
The benefits of the new priority seating system are as follows:
• All current season ticket holders have first right of refusal
• No long-term commitment is required
• No large up-front costs
• More equitable pricing for all donors
• Lower entry donation requirements for priority seating in Bulldog Stadium and the Save Mart Center
• Flexibility to transfer seats and parking passes
• Option to select best seats in football, men's basketball, or both
• Total donation counts towards football parking priority
• Easier to understand
• Improved online donation capability
• View Priority Points and standing online
Current BDF members and season ticket holders will be receiving more information about these changes in the coming weeks and will have until a March 31 deadline to determine renewals and levels of giving.
