FRESNO, Calif. - All Fresno State Bulldog volleyball fans are asked to come out to the North Gymnasium at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26 to watch the past, present, and future of Bulldog Volleyball for an alumni game.
"This will be a great day of relationship building, storytelling and some very entertaining volleyball," head coach Lauren Netherby-Sewell said.
Netherby-Sewell and her staff have been committed to changing the culture of Bulldog volleyball and transforming it to become a nationally recognized program. They have been reaching out to the community and rebuilding bonds with the players from the past to develop a great support system.
"Since I arrived in 2008, we've been busy putting essential pieces in place that will help Bulldog volleyball make a mark on the national stage," Netherby-Sewell added.
"One piece I'm proud to say we're focusing on this year is our history," she noted. "Keeping our alumni as active participants in our program will further solidify the pride that our current student-athletes have as representatives of Fresno State Athletics. I'm eager to bridge the gap between past and future. We welcome all Bulldogs back to the North Gym."
The alumni and the 2010-2011 volleyball team will be arriving at 1 p.m. and the match will start at 2 p.m. It will be a three out of five set match and feature some very exciting and entertaining volleyball.
