Dogs Fall to Mustangs

FRESNO, Calif. - No. 75 Fresno State women's tennis team (8-13, 5-0 WAC) drops to Cal Poly Mustangs, 4-3 at the Wathen Tennis Center. This concludes the regular season for the Bulldogs.
The Dogs started the day off a little slow after being swept in doubles by the Mustangs.
No. 56 singles player, Marianne Jodoin was extremely triumphant on court one over Cal Poly's No. 1 player, Alexa Lee, 6-2, 6-0. On court two, Laura Pola won in three over the Mustang's Ashley Pane, 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, upping the Dogs score by one.
Earning the Dogs their final point in the day, Olga Kirpicheva defeated Cal Poly's Webb in three sets, 6-3, 7-6, 7-5.
Fresno State travels to Boise, Idaho in two weeks to compete in the WAC Tournament. Fresno State is currently the only undefeated team in the WAC.
