Dogs Dancing for 30th Time!

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State softball team - the nation's only program to qualify for all 30 NCAA Tournaments - will face the Big 12's Nebraska on Friday at 3 p.m. Pacific in the Stanford Regional.
"We are very excited and did a lot of things right this year," head coach Margie Wright said. "I think it is a great group of four teams and there will be some great battles this weekend."
Stanford, the top seed in the regional and ranked No. 15 nationally, will host fourth-seeded Pacific in Friday's nightcap at 6 p.m.
"We're glad to be close to home and there will be some great competition," senior Caitlin Stiglich said.
All games will be played at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. starting Friday and running through the regional championship on Sunday afternoon.
Fresno State last played in the Stanford Regional during the 2007 postseason.
Fresno State has appeared in 12 of 30 NCAA Women's College World Series. The Bulldogs won the 1998 national championship, finished as the national runner-up four times (1990, '89, '88 and '82), third three times (1997, '92, and '91) and tied for fifth four times (1999, '94, '87 and '84).
In 2011, Fresno State (34-17) earned six top 25 wins, a 5-1 record against 2010 Women's College World Series participants and a series of strong showings against the nation's top competition.
