FRESNO, Calif. - Club Red, the official Fresno State student-athlete alumni club, hosted its first ever Happy Hour at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday evening. Many former Bulldogs and their families came out to enjoy free wings and drinks to celebrate the end of another successful Fresno State Athletics year.
Former San Diego Charger and Fresno State great Charlie Jones attended the event along with many other former student-athletes. Bulldogs in attendance represented many sports, including football, basketball, track and field, cross country, equestrian, baseball, and tennis.
Head Basketball Coach Rodney Terry and his staff were also in attendance showing their support for the program while getting to meet many former Dogs.
Tyler Mariucci, Assistant Director for the Bulldog Foundation, was very pleased with the event and is looking forward to the future success of the program.
"This evening turned out to be a great night for our former student-athletes. We will continue to build on this momentum for Club Red and do all we can to give back to our former athletes, keeping them connected with the university and their community".
Club Red wishes to honor the past successes of Fresno State student-athletes by continuing the legacy, traditions, and values experienced from participating in intercollegiate athletics. The club is our way of giving back to the former student-athletes and keeping them connected with the school. The $25 membership fee goes directly back to the operating costs of the program.
