"All in all there were some things that we did really great and some things we didn't do so great," said head coach Collins Daye. "We made some silly mistakes today, but we can definitely take from it and learn. The Western team did a great job and put down some solid trips."
Western captain Lauren Crivelli lead the Bulldogs in College Station as she won both her points in Horsemanship and Reining. She scored a 74.5 in Horsemanship, claiming the highest score out of all riders. In Reining she was the only Bulldog to earn her point with a score of 69.5.
Also scoring in the Horsemanship event was sophomore Kirsten McKillop. She scored a 73.5 defeating her opponent by two and a half points.
In the English events the Aggies defeated the Bulldogs 6-0 in Equitation on the Flat, but the 'Dogs came back strong over Fences. They tied the Aggies 3-3 over Fences, and beat them in the raw scores 455-447.
NCEA All-American Macy Wilson scored an 82, Belle Calkin scored an 83 and Dayle Fischer scored a 75, each earning a point for the Bulldogs.
