Thompson Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Junior guard Taylor Thompson set a career-high in rebounds with 10 to go along with 16 points in a 72-61 loss to No. 4 Stanford in the Bulldogs season opener Friday night. Thompson played all 40 minutes of the game, shot 6-of-14 from the field and was 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. She added four assists in the effort. Thompson recorded 12 of her 16 points in the opening half, while shooting 2-of-4 from 3-point range to lead the 'Dogs in scoring in the first half. Also nominated for the Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week was Robbie Rouse, Korrin Wild and Marvelle Harris.
