Madsen Named Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week

Sophomore swimmer Alex Madsen helped lead the 'Dogs to a seventh place finish out of 15 teams at the Phill Hansel Invite in Houston, Texas from Nov. 15-17, 2012. Madsen broke the Fresno State school record in the 200 IM (2:04.80) twice in one day. She did it once in the preliminary race (2:04.67) and then again in the final race (2:04.33). She also swam a lifetime best time in the 100 backstroke with a 55.83 and placed 10th in the finals out of over 40 swimmers. Also nominated for the Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week Lauren Albertson, Bree Farley, Allen Huddleston, and Lauren Crivelli.
