`Dogs Raid Lady Rebels

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The No. 60 Fresno State women's tennis team beat No. 70 UNLV, 5-2, on Friday morning at the Fertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas.
The Bulldogs ( 7-5) clinched the doubles point over the Lady Rebels (8-5) after taking two of three doubles matches. At No. 1 doubles, Marianne Jodoin and partner Tanya Murtagh bested UNLV's Aleksandra Josifoska and Nives Pavlovic, 8-6. Aishwarya Agrawal and Laura Pola defeated Anett Ferenczi-Bako and Ella Bourchier, 8-2, at No. 3.
In singles, the `Dogs raided the Lady Rebel tem with wins from sophomore Jodoin, freshman Aishwarya Agrawal, junior Bianca Modoc and sophomore Murtagh. The Bulldogs' 50th-ranked singles player Jodoin defeated No. 59 Batta in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 1 singles. It marked the first time since Jan. 15 that Batta even lost as much as a set.
The Bulldogs will look to improve their five-game winning streak when they host Pepperdine on Friday, March 24 at noon at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. Admission is free for all fans.
