FRESNO, Calif. - As the No. 34 Fresno State men's tennis team prepares for its last home match of the season, three seniors prepare for their last match in the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center as Bulldogs.
The team hosts Pacific at noon on Saturday and will recognize seniors Remi Boutillier, Jean-Charles Diame and David Ayoun for Senior Day. The `Dogs have a 17-4 record on the season and reached a highest national ranking of 14 in ITA polls. The Bulldogs' success is in huge part of the three seniors from France who played primarily at the No. 1, 3 and 4 positions this season.
Boutillier reached a national ranking of 14 in singles and has an 18-3 singles record on the season at the No. 1 spot, Diame has a 15-7 singles record at primarily No. 3 and Ayoun has 17-5 singles record at mainly the No. 4 position.
The match against Pacific not only marks the last home match for the `Dogs, but the last match of the regular season before they travel to Las Cruces, N.M. for the Western Athletic Conference Championships next week.
